Sculptra Aesthetic is a semi-permanent (average 2 years) dermal filler that can reduce up to 80 percent of facial folds and wrinkles. It is especially effective in improving deep smile lines. Sculptra Aesthetic’s main ingredient is synthetic poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is a biocompatible material that is gradually dissolved by the body. Sculptra is approved by the FDA for cosmetic purposes.
Our Medical Practitioners have been applying dermal fillers since 2001 and we offer the most competitive pricing in South Florida.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is made from poly-L lactic acid. It is different than other “fillers” in that it works within the deep dermis to replace lost collagen and works gradually over a series of treatments to give you subtle results over time.
How is the treatment performed?
Sculptra Aesthetic injections are administered under a topical anesthesia and treatment time is generally 30 minutes long. Weston and Pembroke Pines patients may return home immediately following the procedure. Results typically become apparent after eight weeks. However at your 8 week follow-up visit, a second treatment may be required and the results generally last for at least two years.
Recovery time following a Sculptra treatment is minimal. In fact, most patients may return to their daily activities immediately. Some discomfort, bruising and swelling may be felt at the injection sites. We recommend that our patients stay out of the sun following their treatments.
